Seems I have been on Mr. Simkin’s mind a lot lately
From a post John made a few days ago.
L. Fletcher Prouty, Victor Marchetti and Mark Lane have all had their careers tarnished by their involvement with the Liberty Lobby. I thought about these cases recently when Russian State Television asked me to talk about the recently declassified documents on the JFK assassination. They promised me 100 million viewers, but I decided against their offer, influenced by what has been said about people like Prouty.
My thoughts returned to this subject today when I was notified that Lew Rockwell, someone associated with far right-wing views, had published an article about one of the early members of this Forum, Greg Parker. It states:
“Greg R. Parker is an Australian author and historian renowned for his meticulous research into the life of Lee Harvey Oswald and the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Born in Newcastle, New South Wales in 1958, Parker has spent over two decades uncovering new evidence and challenging official narratives surrounding the JFK case. He is best known for his multi-volume series Lee Harvey Oswald’s Cold War, which explores Oswald’s ties to intelligence operations and Cold War programs, arguing that Oswald was groomed as an intelligence asset rather than a lone gunman. Parker’s work has been cited by leading researchers and praised for its depth, originality, and rigor. He also founded the Reopen Kennedy Case (ROKC) forum, a hub for serious researchers, and organized Australia’s first JFK assassination conference. His scholarship continues to reshape how historians and the public view one of the most controversial events in American history.”
It then goes on to publicize Greg’s latest book, Lee Harvey Oswald’s Cold War: Why the Kennedy Assassination should be Reinvestigated. Should we allow the politics of the website to influence our views on Greg’s work?
John has since made his views clear on my work (does not regard ne as a “serious researcher”). But that aside, I have never had any contact whatsoever with Lew Rockwell, and have skipped through his website maybe twice in the years it has been up. Bottom line, if John wants to know why LR put this on his site, John should contact Mr Rockwell and ask him, instead of assuming I instigated it, or someone else on my behalf. If you find out – let me know.
John also said in the same post

Morally superior to the bitter end.
And wrong.
It was NOT Russian State TV. It was the Izvestia TV network. That Putin casts a shadow over the network is almost a given, but no direct say.
John is also making false equivalence between Prouty, Marchetti and Lane and their association with Liberty Lobby, his imagined association I have with Lew Rockwell, and an appearance on a privately owned Russian TV station.
Liberty Lobby had an audience that was an echo chamber of the Right. John seems to place Rockwell within that same framework.
But appearing on the Izvestia TV network is not the same thing at all. Unless you want to make the outrageous claim that all 100,000,000 viewers of the station are in lockstep with Putin’s – or even the station’s – world views.
I happen to know which station it was because like you, I was asked to appear – unlike you, I chose to appear to try and get good information to the viewers of that station. Not speaking to the people of a faked democracy is no way to change the status quo. They are not the villains.
I also asked them to send the questions beforehand and had replies ready for all of them. I put that Q and A here. Before appearing, I also asked who else was going to appear. They supplied one name but as far as I can tell, that person has not made it public. Maybe he pulled out at the last minute. Don’t know. Don’t fucking care.
How many more times are you going to change feet in your mouth with your false claims about me, John?
Whatever bee you’ve got in your bonnet, take your bonnet off and give what’s underneath a good whack. The bee as well.
A coffee would sure hit the spot!

It’s fun watching different strains of KGB*-influenced JFK assassination conspiracy theorists (e.g., the “Prayer Man” faction versus the “Harvey & Lee” faction) attack each other.

Age isn’t sharpening your noodle, is it, Tommy?
I’m a lot wiser and more knowledgeable than I used to be, Greg.
You?
For example, I now know that the “glowing object in Prayer Woman’s hand(s)” was the metal handle of the open glass door.
I no longer think that Oswald decided, right as JFK and Jackie were passing by the TSBD, to go up to the second-floor lunchroom (the one with the “vestibule” between its door and the hallway) for a bottle of his non-favorite Coke instead of getting a bottle of his beloved Dr. Pepper from the Dr. Pepper machine on the first floor.
I don’t believe (as does gullible Gerald Posner) that Yuri Nosenko, the putative KGB Major I mean Lieutenant-Colonel I mean Captain who physically defected to the U.S. in February 1964, when he claimed he’d been Oswald’s case officer in Moscow and therefore knew for a fact that world-class humanitarian organization had had absolutely nothing to do with former sharpshooting Marine radar operator during the two-and-one-half years he lived in Minsk.
Neither do I believe he was a true-defector-in-place in Geneva in June 1962.
You?
Having read the 2020 study by Roselle and Scearce of the conscious reactions of several witnesses (including JFK, Jackie, and JBC) to the sound of the first, missing-everything, shot, I now know that all three shots were fired over 10.2 seconds in the echo chamber known as Dealey Plaza.
I could give you many more example of things I’ve learned since I believed the evil, evil, evil CIA killed JFK, but that’s enough for now, Greg.
Not being drawn into debate that is off topic. Have asked you before to stay on topic or I’ll hit the delete button.
Dear Greg, Go for it.
I just now published my own free-to-read Substack article about you and me and this conversation.
I titled it, “Age isn’t sharpening your noodle, is it, Tommy?”
Check it out, mate!
The Tommy I know and miss was the one who pointed out my myriad typos. Now you’re making me do it.
I was trying to make a friendly joke at my own expense. But you have to go on a rant again. Comment deleted. Last warning, Tommy. Stay on-topic or next time it’s a ban.
Please, please, please, please don’t ban me, Greg!
I, too, find the KGB-inspired “Harvey and Lee and Henry and Harry and the FOUR MARGURITES” Cult exasperating!!!
PS How am I supposed to know when you’re “just joking”? The Traitorous Orange Turd known as Donald J. Trump says that all the time!
Donald never makes fun of himself. How you could confuse my statement with anything Donald says, is beyond me.
Self-deprecating humor: downplaying one’s achievements, making jokes about one’s abilities, or being excessively self-critical.
Stay on-topic.
Dear Gregor (as in Samsa),
You and the boys at ROKC were so often so “cheeky,” how’s one to know when you’re being self-deprecating?
